Our time on earth is very limited, yet what we accomplish this lifetime determines our fate for the next time around. This posting is a nudge for all of us to live our lives in a more harmonious, more loving way for reasons beyond our fathomable minds. We were all born for a reason, and no two people were brought into this world for the same purpose, but we all have one common goal and that is to manifest our destiny.
We begin to creatively express our gifts in infancy and early childhood, however these gifts are often malnourished. When we fail to listen to what our children are saying, when we take away their self expression, when we force upon them what we feel is best for them (athletics, acting, music etc), their creative self, their destiny begins to be pushed further and further away from accomplishment. It is said that "anyone who interferes with the destiny of another thing will never discover his own".
Yet, we often are fortunate enough to experience many opportunities that will help to awaken what became dormant at a young age. Many times such events occur as blessings in disguise as they present in ways that look like chaos, hurt and loss. However, the wise person will look at such experiences as opportunities for growth and development and a chance to see the world from a new perspective. The Alchemist says that "every blessing ignored becomes a curse".
In order to achieve your destiny, to walk your path, you must first know what it is you want. Start with the most important aspects of your life such as your partnership, your job, yourself (how you want to be a better person and live a healthier more mindful and fulfilling life). The best place to start is by making a list, you can make it as large as you want, but then edit it until you get down to ten things. Then start to communicate these things with yourself and the Universe (whomever you worship or believe in) through prayer and meditation. I would encourage those who are willing to also share certain aspects with your partner as this could be a means of deeper communication and understanding of what each others needs are.
So, in the upcoming year, respond to omens, listen to your heart and follow your dreams because "when you want something, all the Universe conspires in helping you to achieve it".
